How to Make a Christmas Jewelry Pin

Creating your own Christmas jewelry pin truly embodies the spirit of the holiday season by allowing you to adorn yourself festively yet tastefully, almost like a human Christmas tree. Such pins make great gifts and also cost substantially less than anything purchased at a jewelry store. You can make a Christmas jewelry pin to embody any theme of the Christmas season: trees, angels, carolers, presents or a wreath. Wreath pins are simple and you can wear them as jewelry or attach them to gift bags or wrapped presents as an extra decoration.

Things You'll Need

• 6 inches florist wire
• Scissors
• 12 inches green lace
• 6 inches red velvet ribbon
• 2 gold or silver bells
• Hot glue gun
• 1 or 2 small safety pins

Instructions

1. Cut 6 inches of florist wire and insert it to the hem of the green lace. Push all of the green lace onto the wire and disperse it evenly so that it is not overly-bunched in any one area.

2. Pull the wire into a circle shape. Twist the ends of the wire together to secure the wire into this circle shape. Push the ends of the green lace over the twisted ends of wire to cover them.

3. Tie a silver or gold bell to either end of a piece of red velvet ribbon. Tie the ribbon into a bow.

4. Hot glue the bow to the area of the wreath that conceals to twisted wire. This is now the top of your pin.

5. Pin finished designs to clothing or wrapped presents with one or two small safety pins, discretely inserted.
