How to Get Rid of Ladybugs Inside
Most ladybugs do not make it through the winter months. The few that do survive will generally find their way into a person's home to set up shop in the warmth. Once the weather becomes warmer, these few pesky ladybugs can multiply quickly and before you know it, there can be quite a few ladybugs buzzing around your family and children. Prevent ladybugs from entering your home. Seal cracks on the outside of the house and by filling the spaces around your windows, moldings and light fixtures with foam insulation.

Pick up the ladybugs and place them outside. This works well if there are a small number of bugs in your home. Walk a few steps away from the house before releasing them or the bugs could simply fly back into the home.

Utilize a vacuum cleaner to remove the bugs. Check all of the nooks, crannies and corners of your home for ladybugs that may not be readily visible. Once all the bugs have been removed, empty the canister or pull out the vacuum bag and dispose of it in an outdoor trash receptacle.

Hang fly strips around the areas of your home that seem to have the most activity.

Place cloves onto the home's window sills and anywhere else there are a large number of the ladybugs. The smell of the cloves will drive out any ladybugs in the home and deter anymore from entering.

Cover the ladybugs in lemon-scented cleanser. This should be used if you need a method that will eradicate large numbers at once. Once the bugs have perished, vacuum them up and throw out the bag or empty the canister outdoors.
