How to Hook Up an Amplifier for a TV
An amplifier is used with a television if you are connecting two or more televisions to the same antenna. This boosts the power of the signal being sent from the antenna to the different televisions so the signal does not diminish after the signal split. The connection process only takes a moment or two to complete, and soon you can have your multiple televisions up and running off of a powerful antenna signal.

Attach a coaxial cable to the "Out" port of the amplifier and plug it into the "In" port on the signal splitter. The splitter sends the signal from the single antenna to two different televisions. On the opposite end of the splitter, there are two or more connection "Out" ports.
-
4
Insert a coaxial cable into each of the "Out" ports on the other side of the splitter.
-
5
Attach the opposite end of one of the coaxial cables into the "In" port on your television. Repeat the process with all the other coaxial cables into the separate televisions.
