How to Coordinate a Tuxedo With the Color of a Prom Dress
The prom is one of the biggest events in a teen girl's life. Girls will search for several months before the big day, trying to make prom accessories, hairstyles and gown just perfect. They will plan their outfit down to the last detail and will try on prom gowns until they find one that they love. Guys, on the other hand, will usually not fret too much when it comes to the prom. The most important aspect of the guy's ensemble is that it coordinates with his prom date's gown. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Select your tuxedo only after your date informs you that she has purchased her gown. It's not uncommon for a girl to tell her date that she chose a certain color and then change her mind.
-
2
Ask your date if she prefers that your tuxedo be a certain style. For example, if her dress is trendy and modern, your tuxedo should look modern as well. If your date selected a romantic-looking dress with a lot of lace or ruffles, go with a tuxedo that has tails. Most girls will be happy to lend some fashion advice to their prom date.

-
3
Ask your date to take a photo of her prom gown with a digital camera and send you a copy.
-
4
Get in touch with tuxedo shops and ask if they specialize in coordinating tuxedos with formal gowns. Finding a shop that offers this service will make finding the right tuxedo and accessories easier.
-
5
Match the tie and cummerbund to the dress color, such as a red tie and cummerbund with a red dress, according to the website Area Teen. Don't try too hard to match the jacket and pants to the dress color. A gray tuxedo with a silver dress is about as far as you want to go in that direction.
-
6
Opt for the classic look if you aren't comfortable matching the color of your date's gown. When girls wear a pastel gown, many guys will opt for a classic color combination that never fails. Black and white looks elegant regardless of the event. Wear a black jacket, black pants, black cummerbund or black vest. Add a white shirt and a black bow or tie.

I disagree completely! Coordinating dresses and tuxedos looks so elegant, and so put together. My date matched my red Jovani dress perfectly, and we got so many complements that night, a true night to remember! -
