Browsing history is a log of all of the websites visited through the Internet on a computer. Your computer keeps a list of sites in order to make visiting the same sites faster in the future, as well as to offer the convenience of being able to retrace your web steps. If your Internet browsing history is purposely or accidentally deleted, you may be able to recover the data.

Instructions

      Turn on your computer. Click on the "Start" menu. Choose "All Programs," then select "Windows Explorer."

      Open the "Tools" menu and choose "Folder Options." Select the "View" tab.

      Click on "Show hidden files and folders." Close the window.

      Go to the "Start" menu. Click on "My Computer"

      Choose Local Disc C. Locate the folder that says "Users." Select the user whose browsing history you want to recover.

      Click on "Local Settings." Choose "History." All of the recently located websites will be located within the folders.
