Instructions

    • 1

Prepare your string. Take your hemp string and evenly cut it into two strings that measure three yards. Fold the pieces of string from the end where they measure eighteen inches. Tie all of the strands at the top into a knot where the fold begins.

    • 2

Secure your string. To keep the string in place , set the string (at the folded portion) onto a clipboard so it will be sturdy while you work. Divide your strings into four sections.

    • 3

Begin making your knots. To do this, cross your first string over the middle two strings and under the fourth one. Strand four will then need to be brought over the middle two strands and joined together with the first string to create a loop. Continue by bringing the first string over the middle two strings again, and under the fourth string. Finish by bringing the fourth strand over the middle two strands and joining them together with the first string.

    • 4

Add your beads. Choose your favorite colored beads on the strands you would like. You may choose to place strings on the first and fourth, or the middle two strings to add variety.

    • 5

Finish your bracelet. Once your bracelet has been tied and knotted to your desired length, secure the ending by tying a knot. Cut off any remaining strings.
