How to Knit Easy Slipper Socks
In mid-winter, nothing is better than curling up under a blanket, but it can be uncomfortable if your feet keep getting cold. Make a pair of warm slipper socks and never have frozen toes again.

Cast 25 stitches onto your needles. To cast on, begin with a slip knot and secure it on your left needle. Insert the right needle through the loop, front to back. Wrap the yarn around the tip, counter clockwise. Pull the yarn back through the loop and slip it onto the left needle. Repeat until you have 25 loops on your left needle.

Work a knit one, purl one ribbing across the row. To knit, insert the right needle into the left stitch front to back, wrap the yarn counterclockwise and pull it back through the loop. Pull the original loop off the needle. To purl, insert the needle into the left stitch, back to front. Wrap the yarn counterclockwise and pull it back through the loop, pulling the original loop off the left needle.

Work the ribbing until the piece is 26 inches.

Bind off. Knit two stitches. Lift the first knit loop on the right needle over the second. Knit one. Lift the second loop, now the first, over the newly knit stitch and off the needle. Repeat until the whole work is bound off. Fasten it by pulling the yarn through the final loop.

Make two 26-inch pieces.

Fold the short edges of each piece together. Sew both short sides of the fold and along the top, leaving a foot hole. Tie off the string and weave in the ends with a tapestry needle.
