Instructions

    • 1

Cut the card stock, parchment or vellum paper to an 8 x 10-inch size. Measure and score or imprint the center of the card. Fold the paper in half using a craft stick or bone folder to get an even, sharp fold.

    • 2

Stamp an inked image of a cross on the cover of the card. You can cover the image with embossing powder and heat it with an embossing gun for an elegant raised image.

    • 3

Write or stamp an inked verse inside of the card. Archival pens can be used for hand written verses or poetry.

    • 4

Punch out several paper flower and leaf shapes from craft paper or vellum. Glue tiny dots of adhesive to the back of each small flower and press them around the base of the cross. Use colored pencils or pens as an option to draw vines or stems to connect the flowers together.

    • 5

Use a chalking swab to chalk colored highlights on to the flower petals and cross image. Use darker colors to shade in areas to give depth to the shapes.

    • 6

Stencil or use stickers to make an Easter title to the front of the card. You can use a Bible verse or the words, "The Lord has Risen."

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure each component is thoroughly dry before closing the card or sealing it into an envelope. The wet adhesive could dry and stick card components to the envelope or seal the card shut.
