Homemade Remedy for Cleaning Pergo Floors
Pergo is the innovator of laminate flooring, and remains the top selling laminate flooring manufacturer worldwide. Known for durability and quality as well as an extensive selection of patterns, styles and shades, one of the most popular features of Pergo floors is their low maintenance. While Pergo recommends their own brand of cleaning products for use on their floors, they also allow a homemade remedy to be used without voiding the manufacturer's warranty. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 2-gallon bucket
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- Mop
- Towel or lint-free rag

Sweep or vacuum the Pergo floors, taking care to remove all loose dust and soil from the surface of the flooring.

Pour 1 cup distilled white vinegar and 1 gallon warm water into a 2-gallon bucket.

Dip a mop into the vinegar solution. Wring the excess moisture out of the mop until it is slightly damp and no water drops fall from the mop.

Clean the Pergo floors by mopping in a back-and-forth motion. Rinse the mop in the vinegar solution often.

Dry the dampened floors, using a towel or other lint-free cloth. Work in a side-to-side motion to remove any streaks left by the cleaning remedy.

Tips & Warnings
Never use detergents, soaps or cleaners containing wax or polish on your Pergo Floors.
