How Do I Play a Camcorder Mini Disc on My PC?

Many non-digital models of camcorders utilize mini-discs, which are just smaller versions of CDs or DVDs. Viewing these mini-discs on your computer might seem difficult at first since there is seemingly no optical drive designed for them. However, with a simple procedure your traditional optical drive can cope with a mini-disc format.

Instructions

1. Press the "Eject" button on the CD or DVD drive.

2. Insert the mini-disc into the drive, positioning it in the smaller depressed area in the center of the drive tray.

3. Close the drive tray.

4. Right click "Start," select "Explore" and click on the drive letter of your optical drive. The disc will be read like any CD.
