CDs can be used to transport and transfer files and folders. If you have some work that you need to do over the weekend, you can save it to a disc at work and copy and paste from it at home. CDs can also be used to archive important documents that you can bring back to life by simply copying and pasting them onto your hard drive.

Instructions

      Insert the CD into your computer.

      Hit the "Start" button on the lower left corner of your desktop.

      Scroll up to and click "My Computer."

      Find the CD icon in the window of drives and locations on your computer. Double-click the icon so it shows the contents of what is on the disc.

      Find the file that you want to copy and paste. Right-click on in, scroll down and click "Copy."

    • 6

      Go to the location where you want the file to reside. Right-click on it, scroll down and click "Paste." The file will appear in the spot.
