How to Remove Water Slide Decals

Water slides are fun, recreational pieces of equipment that are used to slide down into a pool, and the water slide will typically have running water on the slide as well. Most water slides come with the company's decal on one or more surfaces. Sometimes it is simply preference that the decals are removed from the water slide; other times, it can be because a business purchased the water slide and wants to put its logo on the slide. Removing the decals for either of these purposes is quick and painless.

Things You'll Need

• Paint thinner
• Old cloth
• Cotton swab

Instructions

1. Pour paint thinner over the decal. Pour just enough to get the decal wet.

2. Scrub the decal with the cloth until it starts moving.

3. Use the cotton swab to remove the glue underneath the decal or to lift up the decal and help remove the rest of it.

4. Wipe the water slide with warm water to remove the paint thinner.

Tips & Warnings

• Inhaling paint thinner fumes can be dangerous. Avoid breathing in fumes by wearing a respiration mask.
