The rear speakers in a Honda Civic are commonly 6x9 speakers. Before you can install new rear speakers you will need to remove the old speakers. The rear speakers in the Honda Civic models are located inside the trunk and are mounted to the ceiling of the trunk by 2 securing screws. The speaker wires are connected to the speakers by small metal connectors.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open the Honda Civic's trunk and locate the right and left rear speakers. Disconnect the wires from the side of the speakers by pulling them away from the speakers.

      Remove the screws that are securing the speakers to the trunk and remove the speakers from the trunk.

      Place the new rear speakers in the same place as the old rear speakers. Secure the new rear speakers to the trunk with the securing screws. Tighten the screws with the Phillips screwdriver.

      Reconnect the wires to the speakers the same way that you removed them. Close the trunk.
