1
Set ice cream cone holders in your freezer so they are ready for quick insertion of the drumsticks. You will be adding warm chocolate, so immediate freezing is essential to retain the drumsticks' shapes.
-
2
Fill the bottom of the waffle cones with 2 tbsp. of your favorite nuts. Crushed walnuts, almonds or peanuts can be used.
-
-
3
Melt the 1½ cup of semisweet chocolate chips and 5 tbsp. of butter in the microwave.
-
4
Pour just enough chocolate in the bottom of the waffle cones to cover the nuts.
-
5
Use a spatula to pack the cones with ice cream.
-
6
Use an ice cream scoop to make a rounded mound of ice cream atop the cones.
-
7
Dip the cone heads into the chocolate. Turn the ice cream cones around in the chocolate so an even coat of chocolate covers the entire top.
-
8
Sprinkle the cone heads with crushed nuts.
-
9
Quickly place the cones in the cone holders in the freezer to set up the chocolate before it starts to run or melt the ice cream.
-
10
Allow the cones to freeze for three hours before serving.
