Instructions

    • 1

Gather two magnets that are larger than the hole. Use decorative magnets like refrigerator magnets or any magnets that are pleasing to look at.

Be sure the magnets are both strong, new magnets so their attraction is great.

    • 2

Make your own decorative magnets by purchasing magnets at a craft store or online. Glue a large decorative metal piece or wood cut out that's been painted or any other object that is somewhat flat and that will lay flush against the window screen.

    • 3

Get two people (yourself and another person). Give one magnet to another person and ask them to go outside or you go outside.

One person needs to stand on the outside of the screen where the hole is, and the other person stands inside where the hole is. Each person then places their magnet in the same spot and the magnets are attracted to each other, covering up the hole. Your window or door screen is fixed!

Tips & Warnings

  • Remind children and others to leave the magnets on the window or door to keep the bugs outside.
