How to Make Cars on Midnight Club LA
Midnight Club: Los Angeles is a racing game meant to immerse the player in the Los Angeles racing scene and Los Angeles itself. The game highlights Los Angeles' most famous areas and landmarks with an eye for detail, and that same detail extends to the variety of cars in the game, both in their presentation and handling. One of the advantages the game presents to players is the ability to build and customize their own cars based on car bodies and frames that are unlockable in the game.

Begin a game. A select set of cars will be available, but with no money and no points earned, customization will be limited. Begin driving around the city using the map in the upper right corner as a guide to "events." Events will appear as color-coded markers. Most will be races, but there also are time trials and missions.
Start participating in these events and missions. The better a player plays, the more rewards he will receive. Rewards come in the form of cash and "reputation points." Other times, like in the case of some races, if the player wins, he will get parts, designs (paints and vinyls) or an entire car as a prize.

By accessing the garage from the menu, the player will find every car he has won. In the garage, money and rep points can be used to buy new parts, tires, rims, paint, interiors, engines and the like. These can be used to customize and improve existing models.

To create a new car, the player can begin by selecting the frame of another model they have earned and adding to it as he sees fit using the modifications he has earned and bought. This is done by choosing create a car in the menu and going through the necessary steps in the sub menu, selecting a frame, engine and so on. A full-fledged car can be made by the player to his exact specifications, from suspension and performance to decals and spoilers. These cars are then playable in the game and displayable in the garage and to other Midnight Club players.

Tips & Warnings
To gain more cash and rep points, seek out freeway events. If you are low on time or patience, stick to modifying existing vehicles rather than starting from scratch.
Midnight Club: Los Angeles is known to have a pretty steep learning curve and a high level of difficulty. Since this is true, rep points and cash are harder to come by. The system to create an entirely new vehicle isn't particularly user friendly, either.
