How to Set Up Yahoo Mail in Microsoft Outlook
Yahoo! is a popular Web mail service that lets you send and receive email messages on its site. If you have Outlook installed on your computer, however, you can have your Yahoo! mail account run through it, eliminating the need to log in to the website each time you want to manage your email.

Open your Outlook application.

Click on "Tools" in the main menu bar.

Scroll down and click "E-mail Accounts."

Hit "Add new e-mail account." Click the "Next" button.

Select "POP3" in the drop-down menu. Click the "Next" button.

Enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields.

Type "pop.mail.yahoo.com" in the incoming mail server field and type "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" in the outgoing server field.

Enter your Yahoo! Member ID and your password in the appropriate field.

Put a check mark in the box next to "Remember password."

Select the "Test Account Settings ..." button. This will run a test to make sure your settings and servers are correct.

Choose the "More Settings" button and select the "General" tab. Enter "Yahoo! Mail" under "Mail Account."

Select the "Outgoing Server" tab and put a check in the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

Check the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" checkbox and click on the "OK" button.

Click the "Next" button. Click the "Finish" button.

Tips & Warnings
If you receive an error or can not retrieve or send email, your settings may be wrong. Check your user name and password. Also ensure that you have entered the names of the incoming and outgoing servers correctly.
