Instructions

    • 1

Choose the correct hair donut. The accessory is available in three different colors--blonde, brown, and black--so make sure you pick the one that best matches your hair color. In addition, consider the amount of hair you have when selecting a donut; you can purchase several different sizes. If you buy a donut that is too big, you may not have enough hair to cover the accessory.

Brush your hair to remove all tangles. Spray any loose strands of hair with hairspray or secure them with gel. Brush your hair back to the desired position on your head. Secure your hair with a ponytail holder or rubber band.

    • 3

Open the hair donut. Wrap the donut around the top of your ponytail and clasp it. When you look in the mirror, the donut should resemble a giant ponytail holder. Take a section of hair and pull it over the top of the hair donut until that part of the accessory is covered. Use a hairpin to secure the section of hair to the other side of the donut, close to your head. Repeat the step until you've covered the entire donut with your hair.

Wrap remaining strands of hair around the base of the bun. Neatly insert hairpins to hold the hair in place. Spray your hair donut bun with hairspray for extra hold.
