How to Catch Deoxys in Ruby Version for Game Boy

Deoxys in Pokemon Ruby for Game Boy Advance is one of the most powerful Pokemon in the game in terms of attack power and speed. Deoxys is considered a legendary Pokemon, and catching him will help you complete your Pokedex, if you wish to acquire information on all of the Pokemon in the game. Catching Deoxys requires an external device to enter a cheat code, such as a GameShark or Action Replay.

Things You'll Need

• GameShark or Action Replay for Game Boy Advance

Instructions

1. Insert the Pokemon Ruby game into the GameShark or Action Replay device and insert it into your Game Boy.

2. Enter “0000B13000AB 1003A82A0007” without the quotation marks for the master code on GameShark or “A2E564FE 0FB58A54 530823D9 16558191” without the quotation marks for the master code if you are using an Action Replay.

3. Use the Deoxys code “88F7CB8E EE360350” without the quotation marks to turn every wild Pokemon encounter into an encounter with Deoxys.

4. Weaken Deoxys with attacks from your Pokemon. When its health is low, use a Pokeball to capture it. Save your game and delete the Deoxys code or remove the game from GameShark or Action Replay to continue playing as normal.

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not have a GameShark or Action Replay, you can catch Deoxys on Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen and trade it to your Pokemon Ruby game using the normal trading method.
