How to Clean a Playstation 2 Slim

- Clean dry cloth
- Spritzer bottle
- Vacuum cleaner or clean toothbrush
- Cotton swab
- Rubbing alcohol
- DVD lens cleaning disc (optional)

Unplug all cables and wires from your PlayStation 2 Slim.

Use a low-powered vacuum or clean toothbrush to clean out the small ventilation ports on the front, back and sides of the console so that no lint or dust blocks the fans' operation.

Fill a spritzer bottle with warm water. Do not use soap. Use the bottle to dampen a clean, dry cloth.

Wipe down the exterior surfaces of your PlayStation 2 Slim.

Open the console's disc door and use a cotton swab doused in rubbing alcohol to gently clean the DVD lens. If you prefer, you may wish to reconnect the system's cables and run a DVD lens cleaning disc.

Tips & Warnings
Do not use a CD lens cleaning disc for cleaning the lens of your PlayStation 2 Slim. The brush on the disc is too harsh for cleaning a DVD lens and may damage instead of cleaning it.
