How to Clean a Krups Coffee Pot

Keeping your coffee pot clean will help your coffee taste better.

Coffee makers are a standard part of many American's morning routine. Cleaning a Krups coffee pot is not a hard task, but it must be completed to maintain its performance. Daily cleaning of the carafe is necessary, while cleaning the rest of the coffee pot should be done on a weekly basis.

Things You'll Need

• Mild dish soap
• Sponge

Instructions

1. Allow the Krups coffee pot to cool completely. Unplug the coffee pot.

2. Rinse the carafe with warm water and a mild soap. Wash the inside and outside of the carafe with a sponge. Rinse the carafe and hand dry with a clean, soft towel.

3. Remove the permanent filter, if there is one. Wash it with warm, soapy water. Allow it to air dry.

4. Wet a soft cloth with warm water. Wipe down the outside of the Krups coffee pot with the cloth to remove any splashed coffee or dust.
