      Allow the Krups coffee pot to cool completely. Unplug the coffee pot.

      Rinse the carafe with warm water and a mild soap. Wash the inside and outside of the carafe with a sponge. Rinse the carafe and hand dry with a clean, soft towel.

      Remove the permanent filter, if there is one. Wash it with warm, soapy water. Allow it to air dry.

      Wet a soft cloth with warm water. Wipe down the outside of the Krups coffee pot with the cloth to remove any splashed coffee or dust.
