How to Write Thank You Notes for Pallbearers
Pallbearers offer a much needed service during a family's time of grief. Most pallbearers gladly offer their services while they themselves are dealing with the grief of losing a loved one. While proper etiquette says you do not have to send thank you notes to pallbearers, it is a lovely way to show your gratitude for performing such an emotional task. Remember that pen and paper is much more personal than an email, but during a time of grief, any means of communicating is acceptable.

1
Select a card or stationary that expresses how you feel. Pallbearer thank you cards do not have to be grim. If the pallbearer and loved one who passed shared a special activity or interest, select a stationary or card that tastefully reflects that relationship.
-
2
Write a short note that expresses your gratitude for the services the pallbearer performed. Let him know you value his strength and what a blessing it is to have his support at a time when he himself is also grieving.

Include a picture of the deceased and the pallbearer together, if you have one. The picture will add a special touch to your thank you card.
