1
Begin assembling a LEGO belt buckle. Build layer after layer to create a square shaped design, using different colors to create the pattern/scheme of your choice. The design should be around two inches high and as wide as you would prefer. When you finish the structure, remove the top and bottom layers of the LEGOs and set them aside. They will be reattached later.

2
Cut two strips of electrical tape using scissors---the length of the pieces of tape should exceed the width of your belt by a quarter of an inch. Cut two more strips one inch longer than the first strips you cut. Stick the smaller strips face down on the sticky side of the long strips, making sure to leave an equal amount of sticky space at each end.

3
Secure the sticky top ends of the tape pieces over the top of the belt buckle. Space the two pieces so they are centered in the belt buckle. Reach the tape down in a loop and secure the sticky bottom ends of the tape to the bottom of the belt buckle.

4
Reattach the bottom and top layers that you removed to the belt buckle. Make sure to press down hard so the LEGOs secure themselves firmly over the tape.

5
Hot glue various pieces of LEGOs to a plain belt, using any design or pattern you like. Only attach LEGOs to the parts on the belt that will be visible while you're wearing it---making a double layer will make the belt clunky and impossible to slide through the loops.

6
Slide the LEGO belt buckle over the belt using the straps you made with the electrical tape, centering it over the original buckle.
