How to Get Cheap Tickets to Disney World, Floridathumbnail
Getting past the gates of Disney does not have to cost full price.

A family vacation to the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, Fla., is expensive. In addition to hotel lodging, food and souvenirs, guests to the four Disney theme parks must purchase admission tickets, which can cost more than $80 per person with tax, for just one day. However, discounts are available, if you know where to look.

    1. Finding the Disney Discount that is Right for You

      • 1

Look into multi-day passes. One of the easiest ways to decrease the cost of your daily tickets is to purchase passes for multiple days. With each added day, the average cost of admission decreases.

The ultimate pass is an Annual Pass. The Park-Only option is the most cost effective. For added savings, you can add Disney's two water parks to your pass. It makes sense to look into purchasing these tickets if you are planning on spending more than 11 days on Disney property during the year. The annual pass expires 366 days after purchase and holders are eligible for great discounts on resort accommodations.

Look into military and civil servant discounts. Active duty and retired military personnel are eligible for some of the best discounts available at Walt Disney World. Only one person in your traveling party needs to qualify for the discount. Discount tickets are available at your local Morale, Welfare, and Recreation office, but the exact amounts vary from base to base.

Park tickets are also available on most military bases. The savings on these tickets is due to the fact that they are sold tax free. This amounts to a 6.5 percent savings, a savings that can add up if your traveling party is large.

Look into discounts available at your workplace. If you work for one of the many companies that sponsor attractions or provides food or services to the parks or resorts, you may have access to discounted park tickets. Large companies may also have travel benefits available to employees. Contact your HR representative for availability.
