How to Wear Muslim Head Coverings

The hijab is the traditional head covering that Muslim women wear on a daily basis. When Muslim women decide to wear the hijab, they will have to wear it a certain way. The hijab consists of the headscarf and the underscarf that will cover the neck.

Things You'll Need

• Headscarf
• Underscarf
• Pins

Instructions

1. Place the underscarf over your head. The underscarf is a full turtleneck-like garment that covers the top of your head and neck.

2. Place the long headscarf over your head and underscarf with one end longer than the other. You can purchase a long headscarf at a department store or at a shop that sells Muslim clothing.

3. Pin the headscarf on both sides of your head right where your brow line ends, to keep it in place.

4. Bring the longer end of the headscarf under your chin and wrap it over your head and pin that piece in place.
