How to Connect a Dell Axim X50 to My PC With a Cradle
The Dell Axim X50 is a PDA. Using the cradle to connect the Dell Axim X50 to a computer allows the user to synchronize the PDA, charge the PDA's main and spare battery, and allow the PDA to run off an electrical outlet instead of its batteries. Before connecting the Dell Axim X50 to the computer, the user must install ActiveSync on the computer. ActiveSync is available on the Dell Companion CD which comes with the Dell Axim X50.

Plug the USB cable from the cradle into a free USB port on the computer.

Plug the power cord from the cradle into an electrical outlet.

Dock the Dell Axim X50 into the cradle. The Dell Axim X50's front should be visible. The connection icon should appear on the upper right of the Dell Axim X50. The connection icon looks like two arrows pointing in different directions. If the connection icon appears, then the Dell Axim X50 is connected to the PC.
