  1. Using iTunes

      Open iTunes. Click "iTunes" and "Preferences" on a Mac, or click "Edit" and "Preferences" on a PC.

      Select "Import Settings." Choose "MP3 Encoder" in the "Import Using" drop-down menu.

      Click "OK" and then click "OK" again to exit iTunes preferences.

      Insert a music CD into your computer. When iTunes asks you if you'd like to import the CD into your library, click "Yes." Once the CD has finished importing, you will have successfully copied music from a CD to the MP3 format.

    Using Switch

      Insert a music CD into your computer.

      Open Switch. Click "Add Files" and browse to select the music files from the CD.

      Select the ".mp3" format from the "Output Format" menu.
