Instructions

    • 1

Mark on the glass jar the location that you will place your drill hole.

    • 2

Fill the jar with water approximately a 1/2 inch above the mark for your drill hole. Place the jar in the freezer to freeze the water. This will allow you to drill into the jar and not chip the glass on the inside of the jar.

Make sure you wear your safety goggles while you are drilling through the glass jar. Use a 1/2-inch diamond-tipped drill bit or a drill bit especially designed to cut through glass. Slowly start to drill through the glass, allowing the drill bit to work though the glass the way it is designed to do. Use a medicine dropper to drop small amounts of water onto the area you are drilling to keep the area cool. Continue to operate the drill until you are completely though the glass wall of your jar.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to wear safety goggles as you drill through the glass.
