Instructions

1
Scoop up any excess nail polish that is pooled on the carpet with a spoon. Excess polish can end up getting rubbed under the loops of the Berber carpet during the cleaning process, creating a more difficult stain.
-
2
Apply non-acetone nail polish remover to the stain and blot it with a clean, white cloth. Do not rub the stain, as you could drive it deeper into the loops of the Berber carpet.

-
3
Mix a drop or two of liquid dish soap with a 2 or 3 cups of warm water. Saturate a clean cloth with the soapy mixture and blot the stained area. Rinse the cloth and continue blotting until the stain is completely removed.
-
4
Rinse the area with cold water. Blot up as much of the water as possible with a thick towel and allow the rest to air dry.
