How to Reset a Sidekick II
The T-Mobile Sidekick 2 is a text-messaging centric cell phone that provides users with a full qwerty keyboard, Bluetooth and Internet capabilities. If you are having issues with your Sidekick 2 there are several ways you can attempt a device reset. Regardless of the reset type you choose your device's keyboard will be used to complete the process.

Sidekick 2 Hard Reset Process

Swivel open the screen on your device until you find the small reset hole just above the keyboard.

Locate the power button at the top of your Sidekick 2.

Press down the power button while using a paperclip to simultaneously press the reset button.

Hold down the reset and power buttons until the device vibrates and resets itself.

Wait for the device to load back to the homescreen for the process to finish.
T-Mobile Sidekick 2 Soft Reset and Power Reset

Push down on the power button and hold the button for three to five seconds until the device turns off.

Press the power button to turn on the Sidekick 2.

Perform a soft reset if the power button method does not unfreeze your phone.

Press the following sequence of buttons and hold them down simultaneously; @ + 1 + 0 keys. Wait for the device to reset itself.

Tips & Warnings
Remember that a soft reset doesn't power off your phone, it simple resets the phone while still in the powered on state. If a soft reset and a hard reset does not fix your device you should contact your mobile carrier (T-Mobile) or the device's manufacturer.
