How to Make Half-Fold Greeting Cards to Print
Greeting cards are a fantastic way to send your thoughts for holidays, special occasions or just a quick hello, but they can get expensive if you have many people to send cards to. Save time and money by making your own half-fold greeting cards in minutes using your computer and printer at home.
Instructions

1
Open a new document in your word-processing software. Select the page-setup icon, change the page orientation to landscape, and choose two columns.
-
2
Click inside the second column with your mouse or press "Tab" on the keyboard until the text line is at the top of the second column.
-
-
3
Type a greeting title such as "Happy Birthday", "Merry Christmas" or "Thinking of You" depending on the holiday or occasion.
-
4
Select the clip-art icon from the top of the browser and choose a clip-art design for your greeting card. Double click the design to open it in your document. Resize the image to fit inside the second column. Click on any corner and drag it toward the center to make the clip art smaller or drag it away from the center to make the image larger.
-
5
Click inside the first column with your mouse. Type a short message for the back of the card such as "Created Just for You by: [Name]" or "This card was made for you by: [Name]."
-
6
Place a sheet of card stock inside the printer and print the card design. Feel free to use any color of card stock you like, but keep in mind the card design will print incorrectly on dark colors of paper.
-
7
Follow steps one and two to open a new document to create the inside of the greeting card. Type a verse, poem or personal message in the second column of your new document.
-
8
Remove the paper from the printer and flip it over. Place it back in to the printer exactly as before and print the inside on to the blank side of the card stock. Remove the card from the printer and fold the card in half.
