How to Play Keno Lottery
Keno lottery is a simple game offered in several states that can be played by anyone. Although the odds are daunting, the risk--as little as a dollar--is low enough that even losing can be fun. In some of the games, losing can even be profitable: You'll win a small prize if you don't match any of your numbers.

1
Choose your numbers by marking them on the keno card. You typically choose up to 12 numbers from among 80 (1 through 80), and the amount of your winnings is based on how many you match in the drawing. For instance, if you mark only one number and it gets picked, you win--but you won't win much, since the odds are somewhat in your favor. If you pick more and get more right, you'll win more.

2
Make your wager. You can bet between $1 and $20, with the more you wager the more you can win. Winnings vary by state, but can be as much as $1,000,000.

Watch the drawing, during which 20 numbers are drawn at random. These are the numbers you are hoping to match. If you miss the drawing, find the winning numbers on your state's lottery website.
