How to Make Teleconference Calls

Teleconference calls are a vital method of communication for any thriving business. They allow group conversations to be held over the phone, from numerous locations, eliminating traveling time and expense. The teleconference call feature can also be used for personal calls between groups of friends. The Apple iPhone allows you to invite up to five people into a conference call.

Instructions

1. Call the first person on your conference list. Let him know what you are planning to do, and tell him you will be putting him on hold until everyone else is connected.

2. Press the "Add Call" button, which is located at the bottom of the touchscreen, and choose the next contact to call.

3. Repeat the process in Steps 1 and 2 until you have everyone on hold, then press the "Merge Calls" button, which is on the bottom of the screen. Everyone should now be on the same line.

4. Add a person who calls in during your conference call by pressing both the "Hold" and the "Answer" key at the same time. This will bring up the "Merge Call" button. Press that, and that person will also be in the call.

5. Talk to just one member of the call by pressing the "Conference" button on the screen. Click the "Private" button next to the name of the person you want to talk to. To go back to the group, click "Merge." Remember to inform the group that they will be on hold while you are on the private line.
