Whether they're walking around with a beer in their hand, or setting their drink down somewhere while they chat, there's always a chance than an ugly beer stain can end up on your carpet or upholstery. Even though it might look like a stain that won't come out, especially if it was dark beer, there is still hope that you can remove it completely, especially if you get to it quickly.   • Sponge
  • Cloth
  • White vinegar
  • Liquid dishwashing detergent
  • Rubbing alcohol

Instructions

  1. Remove Stain from Carpet

    • 1

      Soak up as much of the beer as you can with a paper towel if you can get to the spill immediately.

      Combine two cups of warm water, one tbsp. of white vinegar and one tbsp. of liquid dishwashing detergent in a bowl.

      Dip a sponge into the mixture, and then apply it gently to the stain. Use a dry towel to soak up the liquid over the stain as you go. Continue until the stain is gone.

      Clean the area with cold water and dry it immediately.

    Remove Stain from Upholstery

      Combine two-thirds of a cup of rubbing alcohol and one tbsp. of white vinegar in a bowl.

      Dip a cloth into the mixture, and then apply it gently to the stain. Dry the stained area as you go with a sponge. Continue until the stain has been removed.
