Instructions

    • 1

Buy some Tinkerbell merchandise at the store if you like, or create your own Tinkerbell images. Print out some pictures of Tinkerbell to have your child color for free, or you can even digitally color the pictures in a graphic editing program. Look at an already-colored picture of Tinkerbell to make sure you are using the right colors.

    • 2

Paint the walls of the room if you need to so they will match with the Tinkerbell color scheme. Light yellow, pale green or any pastel color will work, as well as white. Apply two or three coats, and let them dry thoroughly. Add one or two coats of glitter glaze wall paint to add a "pixie dust" effect. Find the glitter paint at a store that specializes in interior wall paints.

    • 3

Attach some glow-in-the-dark stars to the ceiling with sticky tack, or hang them from a piece of thread and a thumb tack. Place the stars close to the light fixture so they will soak up more of the light, and when you turn off the light, they will glow brighter. This is especially good if your child is afraid of the dark.

    • 4

Hang the pictures that you or your child colored. You can put them in frames so that they will last longer and so the decor looks neater. Or you can glue the colored images to thin cardboard and cut them out to hang along the walls or from the ceiling. Arrange the other Tinkerbell merchandise if you have it.

Tips & Warnings

  • Line the tops of the walls with large plastic or fabric leaves and flowers to create a "Pixie Hollow" feel.

  • Include the other characters of "Pixie Hollow" into the decor to add more variety to the color scheme.

  • Cut out a picture of Tinkerbell, and use decoupage medium to make a light switch plate cover.
