Bath bombs, also known as fizzies, are a popular and fun way to add some extra relaxation and pampering to your bath. When added to warm bathwater, the bath bombs fizz and release their scent into the water. Relatively easy to make, bath bomb recipes can be customized to include your favorite essential or moisturizing oils or cosmetic grade colorants and glitter. Things You'll Need

  • 2 cups of baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups citric acid
  • 1/4 tablespoon perfume oil
  • Ceramic bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Witch hazel
  • Mist sprayer
  • Soap molds (or empty plastic Easter eggs)

Instructions

      Mix the baking soda, citric acid and perfume oil in the ceramic bowl with the spoon. Blend well.

      Fill the mist spray bottle with witch hazel.

      Spritz a few sprays of witch hazel into the bowl and mix well. The mixture will fizz slightly. Do not add too much witch hazel at once.

      Continue spraying and mixing small amounts of witch hazel into the mixture until it's just dampened and sticks together.

      Press the mixture into the soap molds or into the empty Easter eggs. Pack the mixture into the molds well, tamping it in with your thumbs.

      Allow to set for 10-15 minutes.

      Tap the bath fizzies out of the molds. Spray with the witch hazel to toughen up the outside so they are not crumbly.
