How to Make Money Off Magic in "RuneScape"
Gold coins, the unit of currency in "RuneScape," can be made by players with a high enough Magic skill. This is performed by using either the "Low Level Alchemy" or "High Level Alchemy" spells. These spells turn any item in the game into a number of coins based on the value of that particular item. Both of these spells also grant Magic experience points in addition to making money.

- 3-5 fire runes (per spell cast)
- 1 nature rune (per spell cast)

Open the equipment window by pressing the helmet icon or pressing the "F2" key. If you want, you can equip the fire battlestaff to your character. Equipping a battlestaff in "RuneScape" negates the rune use of one element for spells. The fire battlestaff will allow you to cast spells without using fire runes.

Open your magic spell book by pressing the "book icon" or the "F4" key.

Select "Low Level Alchemy" or "High Level Alchemy" from the spell book. Your inventory window will be shown.

Click the item you want to turn into money from your inventory. Your character will cast the spell. At the end of the spell you will lose the item and gain gold coins. You will also use three fire runes and one nature rune if you used Low Level Alchemy. You will lose five fire runes and one nature run if you used High Level Alchemy. You will only use one nature rune for either spell if you have the fire battlestaff equipped.

Tips & Warnings
You will always receive the same amount of money from a particular item when you use an alchemy spell. It is usually more profitable to sell many items to other players on the Grand Exchange than to use alchemy, but this depends on the item.
Both of these spells can be used to help increase your Magic level in "RuneScape." Low Level Alchemy gives 31 Magic experience points with each use. High Level Alchemy grants 65 Magic experience points when used.
