How to Decorate Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes for Fall

Cupcakes make convenient treats for many occasions, because they don't have to be cut like a cake and can be decorated in a variety of ways. Ice cream cones make convenient holders for cupcakes while still giving the baker freedom to decorate. Embellish cupcake ice cream cones for fall with items that you can find at the grocery store.

Things You'll Need

• Cupcakes
• Ice cream cones
• Vanilla frosting
• Spatula
• Chopped walnuts
• Hershey Kisses
• Chocolate frosting
• Miniature vanilla wafers

Instructions

1. Place a cupcake in each ice cream cone right-side up.

2. Using a spatula, cover the tops of the cupcakes with vanilla frosting.

3. Roll the edges of the frosted cupcakes in chopped walnuts.

4. Place a small amount of chocolate frosting on the flat end of the Hershey kisses. Then attach them to the underside of the miniature vanilla wafers to form acorns. Place a small dot of chocolate frosting on the top of the vanilla wafers for the stems of the acorns. You will need two or three acorns for each cupcake ice cream cone.

5. Place two or three acorns on top of each cupcake ice cream cone.
