Things You'll Need
- 27-by-40-inch black poster board
- Silver marker
- String
- Scissors
- Glue
- Glitter
- Tape
Instructions
-
-
1
Turn the black poster board so the long side is on top.
-
2
Draw spider webs in the top two corners of the poster board with silver ink. The spider webs should stretch from the top of each corner down to the middle of each side of the poster board. Since the webs should look like they are in the top corners of the doorway, there should be a gap between the webs--only connect them at the very top.
-
-
3
Cut out the webs from the rest of the poster board. Make sure the door decoration is cut out in one piece, not two separate webs.
-
4
Trace over the silver lines you drew with glue.
-
5
Pour glitter over the glue, and then wait a few minutes for the glitter to stick.
-
6
Shake off excessive glitter into a trashcan. The glitter should now only be covering the glue, not the spaces between the "web strands."
-
7
Cut out a large spider from the unused black poster board.
-
8
Glue the spider to one end of a long string, so the spider looks like it's dangling.
-
9
Glue the other end of the string to the top of your door decoration, where the two spider webs are connected.
-
10
Tape this decoration to the top of your doorway.
