How to Create a Youth Baseball Schedule
Creating a baseball schedule can be a difficult job. However, proper planning and organization can simplify this task. Although the number of teams across leagues varies, the schedule-creation process remains the same. The best way to create an easy-to-read and convenient-to-distribute schedule is using a spreadsheet program on a computer.

Start a spreadsheet program like OpenOffice.org Calc or Microsoft Excel. OpenOffice openoffice.org) offers a free alternative to buying spreadsheet software.

Create five columns. From left to right, name them "Date," "Time," "Location," "Home Team" and "Away Team."

Make the column titles bold-faced to make them easier to read.

Decide the number of games each team will play during the season. This will determine the number of game dates.

List the game dates in the "Date" column in ascending order.

Tips & Warnings
Include phone numbers and email addresses of league personnel in the event conflicts or questions arise, especially in the event of bad weather.
Include addresses to game locations to make sure people know how to get to the fields.
Try to have teams play each other as close to the same number of times as possible.
Try to have teams play as the home and away teams as close to 50 percent of the time as possible.
