How to Open Games That Are a Zip File
Zip files, also called compressed archives/folders, are used to compress files and reduce the space they take up. Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, and 7 users have a built-in component to open zip folders. Older versions of Windows do not have a built-in component. To open a game from a zip file on a older version of Windows, you may need to download software. Most software programs that are designed to open zip files only work on XP and later versions of Windows, but 7-Zip works on older versions of Windows like 98, ME, and 2000.
