How to Catch All Legendary Pokemon on FireRed

Legendary Pokémon are rare, powerful Pokémon that can only be captured once in the course of any given Pokémon game. The original “Pokémon Red Version” featured only four legendary Pokémon, but the remake, “Pokémon FireRed Version,” adds in a handful of extra legendary Pokémon from the other generations. Be sure to always save your game before battling a legendary Pokémon, and be sure to bring along a powerful team of Pokémon and several Ultra Balls.

Standard Legendary Pokémon

  • Capture the legendary bird Articuno in the bottom of the cave on the Seafoam Islands near Cinnabar Island.

  • Capture the legendary bird Zapdos in the power plant off Route 10.

  • Capture the legendary bird Moltres on Sevii Island 1 at the peak of Mt. Ember.

  • Capture one of the three legendary cat Pokémon depending on which starter Pokémon you chose at the beginning. You’ll find one of the three at random, roaming around Kanto. Pick Squirtle to find Raikou, pick Bulbasaur to find Entei or pick Charmander to find Suicune.

Event Pokémon

  • Use the mystic ticket item from a Nintendo event to catch a ferry to Navel Rock from Vermilion City. Enter the cave on Navel Rock and go up the stairs to find the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh or go down the stairs to find the legendary Pokémon Lugia.

  • Use the aurora ticket item from a Nintendo event to catch a ferry to Birth Island from Vermilion City. You’ll find the legendary Pokémon Deoxys on Birth Island.

  • Use an Action Replay cheat device if you never obtained the Nintendo event items. Enter the master code: 72BC6DFB E9CA5465 A47FB2DC 1AF3CA86 then specific codes to unlock the items. Use 07CF2578 E43B4EBF to enable visitation to Navel Rock and Birth Island. Enter 2782EFCA 4EED1397 for a mystic ticket and 641B9F5D 3A0D0482 for an aurora ticket.
