How to Uninstall Norton Internet Security 2009
Norton Internet Security 2009 is a comprehensive computer security toolkit produced by the Symantec Corporation. Internet Security 2009 provides protection against computer viruses, spyware and phishing attempts as well as providing a computer firewall. If you plan to upgrade the version of Norton Internet Security on your computer or switch to a competing product, you will need to uninstall the current version on your computer.

Click "Start" and select "Control Panel."

Choose the "Add or Remove Programs" icon in Windows XP. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, select "Programs and Features."
Find the program you want to remove and click it. In Windows XP, you should see a "Remove" button appear. Select "Remove."
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, when you click the program, an option to uninstall the program becomes available near the top of the list.

Remove each of the Norton products that you want to remove.

Restart your computer and Norton Internet Security will be removed.

Download the automatic Norton removal tool if the manual removal of Norton Internet Security failed.

Double-click the Norton removal tool after downloading it to your computer.

Restart your computer and Norton Internet Security 2009 will be removed.
