1
Learn the foot steps and hand steps individually, then place them together in the Indian dance. The first step is called step touch. To do this you will step to the right, then bring feet back together. Next you will step to the left and back together

2
Do the following step in a count of three. The next foot step is the same form as a step touch, but you will hop as you go from side to side. For example, hop touch right; hop touch left. The last foot movement is called the limp step. Start by pressing your toe into floor with your heel off the floor. Do right foot; then add the left foot. Perform just like you had a hurt foot and were limping on it. You need to do at a fast pace, pressing down into the floor.

Add your hip with the limp step. You will push the hip up and lower down along with the limp step. Your toe presses down to the ground and hip pushes up. The last foot step is called the Bollywood turn. To do this, take your right foot and cross over your left foot and turn 360 degrees until you are back where you started (a common term is to unwind yourself). Next take left foot and cross over your right foot, turn 360 degrees back to the beginning position.

Now practice the individual hand movements. First you will press your shoulders up and down in a repeated fashion. Bring your hands up in a slow motion, while moving shoulders up and down. You can add flair to this movement by adding a turn with the wrists (act like you are screwing in a light bulb). Do this along with shoulders. A second hand movement is placing the hands in front of your body and moving them as if saying “come here."

Now put the foot and hand movements together to perform the Indian dance. First place your hands on your hip and perform the limp step while moving hip. Next you will walk backwards and do the “come here “ hand movement. Shake your shoulders forward, leaning to the left and to the right. Repeat this step. Next you will perform a toe touch. Step left, back, right and forward (do as if you were in a box); repeat, but this time go right, back, left and forward Do a limp step and roll hands up. Then jump and cross your legs. Turn 360 degrees back to beginning position. Your arms need to be facing up like a "V" shape. Next step touch and swing your arms at your side. Continue the step touch , place hands by the head and move them quickly in a right/left motion. Repeat the dance.
