How to Evolve Scyther in "Pokemon Platinum"

"Pokemon Platinum" is a role-playing game developed by Game Freak and released by Nintendo for its DS console. The game puts players in control of a young Pokemon trainer as he travels through the land of Sinnoh, collecting and raising Pokemon in order to become the region's top trainer. While many Pokemon evolve into new forms by gaining experience, some Pokemon, such as Scyther, must be evolved through trading.

Instructions

1. Place Scyther in your set of six primary Pokemon, and select it.

2. Select the "Hold" option from the drop-down menu, and give Scyther the metal coat.

3. Turn on a second Nintendo DS and begin playing the Pokemon game on it. Bring the trainers of both games to a trading center which is located in every town.

4. Make a Pokemon trade with the trainer from the other DS game, making sure you send the Scyther with the metal coat to his DS.

5. Wait as the Scyther (still holding the Metal Coat) is traded from your DS to the other DS. Once it arrives, it will evolve into Scizor, a bug/steel Pokemon.
