How to Build a Gate in Age of Empires 3

Age of Empires 3 is a real-time strategy game for the PC developed by Ensemble Studios. Released in 2005, the latest installment of the Age of Empires series allows players to create and control their own European colonies in the new world. In Age of Empires 3, you can build walls to protect your cities from various dangers. After you build a wall, you must enhance that wall with a gate to enable travel in and out of your city or town.

Instructions

1. Click to select the section of wall where you want to build a gate. The highlighted section of wall indicates your selection.

2. Locate the “Build Gate” icon in the lower right corner of the Age of Empire 3 interface. Click to reveal the Build menu if it is not already visible.

3. Click the “Build Gate” icon to replace the selected section of wall with a gate. Your gate is automatically created.
