How to Create Your Own Mother Daughter Picture Memory Book
Making a mother daughter picture memory book is a project a mother and daughter can do together, or it can be made as a cherished gift from one to the other. There are many online photo services you can use to upload your photos and choose the themes, text, fonts and backgrounds, making the task quite easy. Or you may choose to create one from scratch, purchasing some supplies from your local craft or scrapbook store.
Things You'll Need

Instructions

1
Choose the theme and look you want your memory book to have. For example, it might have an old, antique and leather-bound look or be fun and fanciful with stickers and bright colors.
-
2
Choose photos of your special mother-and-daughter events, spanning as wide a range of time as possible. Try to select photos without other family and friends that focus specifically on mom and daughter.
-
-
3
Scan old photos into your computer and print them on card stock.
-
4
Cut the photos out of the card stock.
-
5
Arrange the photos chronologically on the scrapbook pages. Leave some spaces under or next to the photos so you can add captions.
-
6
Use a word processing program and choose a print color, font style and font size for the captions. Type descriptive captions for each photo. Make sure the captions are arranged so that they will fit nicely underneath or next to the photos on the scrapbook page.
-
7
Type up some private jokes or special phrases and words unique to your relationship that can be inserted between and among the photos and captions on the scrapbook pages. Put these words and phrases in a different color and font to make them stand out from the captions.
-
8
Print the captions, private jokes, special words and phrases on the card stock.
-
9
Cut the captions, private jokes, special words and phrases out of the card stock. Rectangles and square usually work best, but you can choose whatever shape you wish.
-
10
Arrange the appropriate captions next to the correct photos and insert the private jokes, special words and phrases among and in between the photos and captions.
-
11
Spread glue thinly on the back of each photo and piece of type and press each one back into place on the scrap book page.
