Connect the webcam to the computer with the computer turned on and logged into Windows.

Insert the webcam driver CD into the computer when prompted by Windows. The drivers will be installed, and the camera ready to use.

Open Windows Live Messenger. From the Tools menu, selection "Audio and Video Setup...". Click "Next" to reach the Webcam dialog. Select the newly installed webcam as the default device and click "Finish" to exit the dialog.

Start a new video conference by right clicking on a contact and choosing "Video" or "Call" from Windows Live Messenger.
