How to Set Up for a PS3 With Comcast High Speed

Connect your video games to the Internet.

The Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) possess the ability to connect to the Internet. This allows you to not only browse the Web but play online multiplayer games. You can connect the PS3 to any home Internet network, including a Comcast high speed Internet connection. The PS3 hooks up in a similar fashion to most computers and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Things You'll Need

• Sony PlayStation 3
• Comcast High Speed Modem
• Ethernet cable

Instructions

1. Plug the Ethernet cable into one of the "Out" ports on your Comcast high speed Internet modem.

2. Insert the free end of the Ethernet cable into "WAN" port on your Sony PS3.

3. Power on the Internet modem and your Sony PlayStation 3. In a moment the PS3 menu loads onto the screen.

4. Select "Settings," then choose "Network Settings." From the Network Settings choose "Internet Connection Settings, then click "Yes."

5. Choose "Wired Connection," followed by "Easy." The PS3 connects to the Comcast high speed Internet modem.
