How to Convert an MPG to VOB in Linux
The MPEG or MPG video file format, created by the Moving Pictures Experts Group is a very common video file format that typically employs high compression using the MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 codec (fileinfo.com). The VOB file format is the container format used for DVD storage (fileinfo.com). Due to the lack of Linux conversion software available, online conversion software is the best option for converting from MPG to VOB.
